I work with a range of companies for their publishing, data and website needs.  Oddly, many of these companies are related in the adult entertainment world.  You know, live girls online and live sex on webcam sites.  Unfortunately, many of the business owners are not overly computer savvy and try to mis-use the tools that they have.  Quite often, we typically work with Microsoft products.  Word is a great tool for many things.  But, one thing that I do not recommend Word for is to generate anything for web based content.  It is great for the initial information entry, but I never recommend it for the actual conversion to HTML.  I’ll give you an example.  If you are creating a website that has a link to live girls, you would type something like “<p><a href=”http://live-girls.lavenderlive.com/”>Live girls</a></p>” in the body of your HTML document.  Hopefully, any formatting that you would do should be in a .css file.  Word creates a 451 line html file just for this simple link.  A majority of it is formatting that is not needed and should be set up in a separate .css file anyways.  So, the long and short of it is that Word should not be used to generate online web content.  Take some time or work with someone that understands HTML code.  Something as simple as creating a link to live girls is so “bloated” and poorly done, your website will definitely suffer for it in the long run.  There are some great web development tools out there, but Word is not one of them.

The key to outstanding visual stimulation and are is having the right subject matter that really catches the eye.  We work with a wide range of industries.  Amazingly, the industry that seems to be very well adapted to their audience involves live girls in online live web cam chat rooms.  These sites utilize an amazing range of visual art, targeted marketing and reach people on numerous levels.  These sites cater to all levels of a person’s psyche.  Do not underestimate the artistic value of the live girls being advertised in creative and provocative ways.  If you look back at the history of most industries, women have been used as part of the subject matter.  This is in part due to their beauty, strength, poise and ability to capture our imaginations.  One of the more collectible art forms today is that of the ”pin up art”.  The following is an excerpt from the Art History Archive:

“The modern antecedents of the pin-up can be traced to the Gibson Girl in America, who made her debut in 1887, and the Art Nouveau posters of Alphonso Mucha and Jules Cheret in Europe. The prototypical pin-up postcard artist of the nineteenth century, Raphael Kirchner, contributed to the establishment of the “pretty girl” format. Also becoming publicly acceptable was such mainstream popular art as ‘Psyche at Nature’s Mirror’ by Paul Thumann, first seen in Munsey’s December 1893 Issue. White Rock beverages then adopted it as their trademark and, by 1947, the demure Psyche was attending parties topless! Two popular Glamour icons to follow the Gibson Girl, were those of Howard Chandler Christy and Harrison Fisher…   By the 1920s, the golden age of illustration was in full flower. The new film industry fueled the public’s appetite for magazines devoted to their celluloid heroes. In the 1800s, a glimpse of a woman’s bare ankle could be considered scandalous. Compare that with the blatantly sexual girls of the Roaring Twenties by Enoch Bolles, George Quintana and Earle K. Bergey just a generation later! Corporations and advertising agencies were likewise vying for the services of talented artists to create identities the public would respond to. A significant pre-war American advertising icon was the Arrow Shirt man, portrayed brilliantly by J.C. Leyendecker. Although Leyendecker is primarily known for his depictions of men, he had a profound influence upon popular illustrators such as Norman Rockwell and many who followed…

A great deal can be learned by reviewing advertisements and art from the past and comparing it to technologies of today.  Maybe some forms of the pin ups can be seen in the live girls in live web chat rooms of today.  Maybe not.  It is just a thought.

As always, thanks for reading.

Word is an outstanding word processing and document creation tool.  With word, you could create a document called Live Girls and provide a wide range of content.  Word can handle a wide range of graphical tools.  It is possible to insert images, animations, videos, drawings, clip art and much more.  If you were a photographer and just got done doing photos shoots of live girls and wanted to put together a summary of your work, Word might not be a good choice.  But, if you were writing a thesis about live girl photography, that would be a great use for Word.  Word provides so many tools to organize and present information that you can author just about any type of document.  But, for higher level artistic functions, you may want to look elsewhere.  Word provides basic drawing functions and works well with images that have already been created.  Word is fairly weak when you are trying to create images.  Word is not a replacement for products such as CorelDraw or Gimp.  Word allows you to re-size images, move them around, add captions and text and other similar basic functions.  It would not be appropriate to use to show off a wide range of images from a live photo shoot.  For that, check out something else.

Live web cam chat room models are not always overly technology savy.  I am always amazed at the range of computer skills that people have.  In this day and age, I would expect that everyone would have some general word processing and spreadsheet skills.  OK, maybe not spreadsheet skills.  At a minimum, some knowledge of e-mail applications and instant messaging should be a basic requirement.  More and more, I am encountering people that still do not know what a cursor is.  WOW.  Can you believe that?  At one time, the ongoing joke was that it was too difficult to program your VCR and Microwave.  Now a days, this relates to using a computer.  This should not be the case.  Aside from certain well known issues with different operating systems, computers are getting easier and easier to use for basic functions such as web browsing, sending e-mails, chatting with people and writing a document or two.  Operating systems are trying to make everything somewhat “point and click” and easy to set up.  There are set up wizards for almost everything now.  In fact, I think that this has actually made it more difficult for more advanced users that would prefer to have more control of how things get set up.  For basic users, this should not present any issues.  For anyone out there that is having difficulties using their computers, there are some great tutorials online and also a tons of great simple books to get you started.  (Like the “for dummies” series.)  Check them out.

We work with quite a few live web cam chat room models and also as models ourselves.  I’d like to talk specifically about some of the media technologies utilized in this field.  This has been a topic that I’ve covered in general before.  This brief article will be more focused on specific technologies.  Flash Player is utilized just about everywhere that you look.  Surprise surprise.  It is also used in chat rooms.  Adobe Flash Player is a utility that shows animations and movies using programs such as web browsers and more.  There are two key components to what is commonly referred to as “Flash”.  There is the Flash Player and also the Adobe Flash.  Adobe Flash is the authoring environment and Flash Player is the used to play the videos or animations.  In chat room technologies, Flash is used as the video provider.  Webcam images are streamed via Flash to your screen.  It’s a great use for these applications and allows for a wider utilization of webcam models and features.  This standardization of media platforms makes things much more flexible.  The latest revision of Flash is “10″.   Flash Player 10 includes a range of neat new features that developers can capitalize on.  Here is a brief list of some of the cooler ones:

  1. 3D effects – Allows developers to transform 2D objects into 3D spaces quickly and easily.  They have a demo that looks very much like Windows 7’s new window toggling.
  2. Drawing effects allow you to tweak curves, warp images, use custom filters and much more.
  3. Dynamic sound features
  4. Better hardware acceleration reducing the load on the CPU and improving video feeds.

I have not worked with Flash on a low level yet, but after seeing the new features, it is something that I definitely want to play around with a bit and learn.  If you have worked with Flash development, let me know.  I’d love to hear from you.

I’ve talked about some of the interesting ways that similar technologies and media are used in different ways.  A common example that I often use is that of corporate video conferencing versus live web cam chat rooms.  The similarities in technology and visual media is amazing, even though the use is completely different.  The similarities are that they both often utilize web cams and Internet technology.  These are both tools for communications and some of the core technology are similar.  There are many other examples of technology adaptations for visual media.  CAD (Computer aided design)systems have been used by companies and businesses for many years.  CAD system capabilities started off as basic rudimentary drawing tools.  Today, they are powerful design applications capable of kinematics, solid modeling and much more.  These tools have many features and capabilities that are similar to visual design software such as Electric Image Animation System by EI Technology Group or Cobalt to name a few.  Both Cad systems and visual design software are used for animations, solid shape 3D modeling and much more.  Some of the greatest scenes in modern movies would not have been possible without this type of software.  at the same time, cars, trains, airplanes, toys and more would not be possible without CAD.  In a future blog post, we’ll take a look as some of the tools that are used as input devices for visual design software and CAD systems.

Visuals are a major part of live web cam chat rooms.  There are all types of chat rooms with different media needs.  Live web cam chat rooms  include any or all of the following:

  • online teleconference utilities
  • webinars or online web seminars
  • instant message utilities such as yahoo or messenger
  • teen chat websites
  • dating chat websites
  • personal video conferencing
  • erotic web cam chat rooms
  • certain types of web cam related game
  • baby monitor web cam systems
  • pet chat applications.. (Yup, this is where people have web cam systems installed to talk to their pets…)
  • probably many more that I have not thought of

It’s amazing how many different applications can incorporate web cams.  Chat rooms have come a long way from the old days.  Chat room communications utilize video, sound and text.  What’s next?  This is a major form of visual media.  In fact, in advertising, web cam videos are a growing resource for online exposure.  Global companies are looking to capture some of the growing popularity of sites such as YouTube.  (Granted, these are not related to chat room except for the fact that web cam are often utilized to film these videos.)  Most computers come with web cams now and this makes it much easier to utilize web cam chat rooms to communicate.  The concept of a home office has benefited greatly by chat room technology and the type of visual media available.  It is easy to provide presentations and trainings now using sites and applications like “GoToMeetings”.  Companies can reduce their travel and entertainment costs drastically by not having to bring in all of their employees for trainings.  It’s amazing.  This is an area that I hope to expand on in the future.  Stay tuned.

Visual Arts covers a wide range of media and technologies.  I have been involved in a wide range of things in my life including engineering, automation, marketing and now social media and online technologies.  One area that I’m particularly interested in is online live web cam chat rooms.  The technology is amazing and the creative energy seems to be limitless.  Is this a form of visual art?  I believe it is.  Many online models have an amazing grasp of visual stimulus both live and still shot.  Web cam profiles include stimulating still photographs, the best of which are not in any way crude or extreme.  The best ones are the pictures with outstanding appeal and artistic content.  The days of crude pornographic images are long gone.  Web cam models have an understanding of artistic media, psychology, erotic writing and much more.  Marketing is all about capturing people’s interest with visual and audio stimuli.  Models and entertainers are implementing this every day through creative writing, artistic images, music, audio effects and so much more.  Many of these profiles are well though out and crafted with amazing artistic flare.  I’ve never been overly artistic.  My skills are more strategic and I’ve collaborated with others to add that extra something to my presentations, campaigns and other marketing related materials.  I can provide the technical content, but that special look or feel that you get from the perfect image or presentation seems to be beyond me.  That’s where I call in the pros. That is one of the reasons why I find it so interesting that one can find such artistic skill everywhere, including online live web cam chat rooms.  WOW!  I wish I had it, but I don’t.

With the ongoing implementation of technology and software in the live web cam chat room arena, computer skills are critical to a successful session.  There are a wide range of live web cam chat rooms on the Internet.  This is a booming media platform.  The uses range from personal or corporate video conferencing to erotic entertainment with everything in between as well.  Being able to maintain a clear and coherent conversation through typing plays a big part in the success of the session.  Pictures, images, emoticons, fonts, drawings and more can be used in these forums.  Quick typing used to be the main way to communicate for quite some time.  (Aside from verbal communications of course.)  Think about it, memos, letters, e-mails…  Typing on a computer took the place of short hand.  Typing was the core of corporate communications.  Now, it’s evolved to be so much more.  Typing is much more than just hitting a few keys.  Word skills, word processing skills in general, continue to evolve.  Quick keys are being created every day.  How many people know how to use CTRL-C, CTRL-P, CTRL-X and CTRL-B?  I’d bet quite a few more know these keys today than they did 10 years ago.  Or, what about a quick combination of keys –> :  and ).  Put these two together and you get an emoticon that everyone has come to recognize.  There are emoticons for almost anything now.  If they don’t exist, create one.  These quick keys, emoticons and other tools allow us to communicate very quickly while chatting with our friends, family and collegues.  It you have not already done so, brush up on your skills!  Pretty soon, they may not be enough for the next round of communication technology

I consider myself a fairly intelligent woman, so why is it I can’t write blogs?  It does not matter what I use to write with.  I have tried pen & paper, Microsoft Word on a computer and even crayons!!!!  What’s the deal?  I spend my days editing medical records and my nights as an live web cam chat room model chatting with great people.  I have no problems getting my thoughts together then, but when it comes to putting my words on paper (or a computer screen) I just can’t do it!  Heck, I’m even having a hard time writing this blog!   I thought writing a blog about not being able to write blogs was going to be an easy thing to do.  I guess I was wrong.  I have lots of stories to tell about how much fun I’ve had being a swinger and an erotic webcam model.  So, why is it that when I sit down to a blank screen to type them out, my mind goes completely blank?    I can talk someone’s ear off with story after story, but as soon as I try to write it down, the words won’t flow from my hands to the keyboard?  Do I really care that much about having others read my words as opposed to listening to them?  Does anyone else have this problem or am I the only one whose mind goes blank when my hands touch the keyboard?  Some people say that the first sentence is the toughest.  They say that all you have to do is get that very first line down and it’s easy street from there.  For me, the problem starts even before that.  I’ve got so many wonderful things to talk about, I have problems deciding on a topic and then have issues writing about that topic.  WOW!  Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
